Flow Measurement for Large Pipelines Without Shutdown

Large pipeline flow measurement does not always require cutting the pipe or stopping the process.

CBT Flow Solutions Pvt. Ltd., our Insertion Type Electromagnetic Flow Meter provides a practical and cost-effective solution for measuring water flow in large-diameter pipelines.

It offers good measurement accuracy, typically around 1% of flow rate, when the probe and transmitter are installed correctly. It can also work with liquids having electrical conductivity as low as 20 µS/cm.

Since the flow meter is installed directly into the pipeline, there is virtually no pressure loss during measurement.

It is especially useful for large pipelines where replacing an existing full-bore electromagnetic flow meter can be difficult or expensive. Using the hot tapping method, the insertion flow meter can be installed on a running pipeline without requiring a complete shutdown.

The meter uses Pulsed DC technology for excellent zero stability and reliable measurement. A standard 4–20 mA DC output is provided, with the signal directly proportional to the volumetric flow rate.
